2023-06-16 Kabbalat Shabbat

Welcome to the Kabbalat Shabbat Service at Temple Sinai in Reno, Nevada. Whether you join us in person or through our livestream, we are delighted to have you with us. Temple Sinai is Reno’s Reform Jewish congregation, affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism. We are also affiliated with NiCE, the Nevada Interfaith Coalition for Equality and Inclusion, an organization that works towards full LGBTQ inclusion at places of worship in Northern Nevada.

We are grateful to Barton Barrow for his Torah chanting this week. Special thanks to John Louie (Board Member-at-Large) for warmly greeting our attendees. We extend our appreciation to Tova McGilvray (Board President-Elect) for managing the livestream technology so people can join us from home.

We use the Reform siddur “Mishkan T’filah” as our prayerbook. If you don’t have a copy, you can download our Custom Virtual Siddur for free at to follow along with us during the service.

Join us on Zoom for a virtual Oneg time with live video after service. Visit for details to enter the virtual Oneg.
